About Noah Lohr

I am a current student at the University of Alabama pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering and Public Health, with the intention of matriculating to medical school upon completion. While there, I participate in a number of community service activities, the most prominent of them being serving as a Technology Assistant for the Capstone Village, a retirement community near campus. Here, I fix any technology problems residents may encounter with smartphones, computers, and printers, as well as educate them in the use of such devices. Addressing the needs of these older adults has made me more adept at recognizing and adapting to the needs of different communities. Much in the same vein, my experience with tutoring children of different ages in reading and mathematics allows me to tailor my communication and teaching strategies for people of different abilities and skill sets. Away from school, I am employed with Mutual Aid Ambulance Service as an EMT. Responding to both transport and emergency calls, I treat a wide variety of patients from all backgrounds and ages by assessing patients, treating with BLS skills, assisting paramedics with ALS procedures, and transporting patients quickly and safely.
