About Noah Mar

I am a construction field coordinator and acting floor superintendent, mechanical engineer, and registered E.I.T. with a wide range of experience from manufacturing, testing, and design engineering. I am also a graduate from the University of Victoria with a B.Eng degree (with academic and co-op distinctions) and a specialization in Energy Systems. My interests include CAD drafting and modelling; manufacturing; various forms of QAQC; and the marine, aerospace, and construction industries. I am proficient in ProE/Cero Parametric and SolidWorks CAD packages for parts, sheet metal, assemblies, and drawings. I also have in-class and academic club experience using ANSYS Mechanical and Fluent. I have technical knowledge and proficiencies in multiple CAD packages, ANSYS FEA, high-volume test fixture design, engineering change processes (ECO/ECR/ECN), DFM/DFA, durability testing, environmental testing, hydraulics, vibration testing, process development and qualification, lean six sigma practices, data collection systems/analysis, hands-on experience with machining and test stand setup, and PDM management and development. I also have knowledge and experience in safety and hazard identification/mitigation, trade coordination, healthcare infection prevention and control (IPAC) measures/protocols, BC Building Code accessibility requirements, and more. I was previously Manufacturing Engineer at Ballard Power Systems, a freelance engineer, and a member of both the UVic Environmental Engineering Club (UVEEC) and UVic Rocketry. I was also previously a Seaquam VEX Robotics Coach and Mechanical Consultant, and a Mechanical Engineering co-op at Sierra Wireless, and Mechanical Test Engineer Co-op Student Dometic, and a Mechanical Design Intern at WhiteWater.
