About Noah Rodriguez

Hello, my name is Noah Rodriguez, and I am from Salinas, CA. I am currently a student at San Jose State University and am a declared civil engineering major. Civil engineering became an interest of mine a few years ago during an internship with a building design firm that I attended. After my first year at this firm, I became more interested in the structural side of civil engineering. Having hands-on experience helped solidify my interest in engineering and I learn as much as I can when I am attending the internship. Along with being a full-time student, I work as a part time retail associate at VANS and during break for school I work at the internship mentioned above. I have worked for four years now at VANS, and two of those years I became a retail supervisor. I enjoyed my time as a supervisor and learned useful leadership skills but unfortunately I had to demote myself due to availability requirements that I could not meet because I became a full-time student at SJSU. From my internship, I have developed skills in AutoCAD and have seen the design process of accessory dwelling units and junior accessory dwelling units. In total I have over 5 years of work experience and hope to continue to develop my leadership and social skills in general.
