Hi. Thanks for taking an interest in my professional profile. I'm a marketing and business development professional with 8+ years experience in the retail food industry. I spent 5 years in the online supermarket business, first as manager of shipping and fulfillment, where I gained a tremendous amount of hands-on operations experience, then as marketing manager, where I developed a grass-roots marketing campaign from scratch and got heavily involved in the management of online & print marketing campaigns. For the last 3+ years, I've worked in the more traditional brick-and-mortar version of the supermarket. I was brought in to increase business & profits, and I've done that very successfully by implementing good business practices and just as importantly by trying to eradicate bad ones. I've run very consistent and very successful email and print marketing campaigns, improved customer communications, and most importantly, focused on the consumer's shopping experience from start to finish. Good business practices are all about understanding your product, the market (including your competition), and your customers, and being professional in every aspect of your business. I love to learn new skills. Over the past few years I've learned how to cook (at a 2-month professional culinary program), how to use Photoshop and Illustrator, and product photography.
