About Noah Scott

Why Construction Management: I find it amazing that while not having any background in the industry, as I come from a military family, I could find great joy in construction. I remember finding the degree listing by accident but from that moment on I knew that contributing to a meaningful built environment is what I've always wished to do. With being one of the World's oldest professions, there is plenty of knowledge, history, and experience to gather in creating structures that will impact countless people's lives. Education Background: My education in Construction Management at the University of Wyoming has been life-changing as well as reinforcing for the CM career path. They have been instrumental in helping me achieve important certifications such as OSHA-30, and LEED Green Associate as well as learning software critical in the workplace such as P6 and Procore. Experiences: I am also grateful to have had the privilege of being an undergraduate researcher for the university working with innovative building materials. That is where I could apply the content I was learning at the same time in my coursework at an especially diverse working environment. I also learned through my experience there, such as conflict resolution, communication methods, efficient production, scheduling, pre-construction/design, QA/QC, and ethical as well as high-stress decision-making. These skills all exemplify themselves in the successful construction of a handmade charcoal brick house on campus. I do have a strong passion for history, which has helped me realize that everyone is remembered through their hard work and determination in some way, so why not by the structures we left or the concepts we built along the way? I truly cannot wait to get out into the field, the office, the meetings, the hard days and the long days, to follow and to lead, wherever I can contribute to a team's success in an innovative manner.
