About Noah Smock

I'm an aerospace engineer-in-training with a passion for building systems that are both technically innovative and socially impactful. Currently completing my B.S./M.S. in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, I bring hands-on experience in sensor development, radio communications, and rapid prototyping—alongside a strong foundation in programming, CAD, and environmental sensing. From designing biodegradable electronics in the BEEM Lab to leading a lunar resource utilization proposal with NASA L'SPACE, I thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments where ideas are turned into working systems. I’m especially interested in technologies at the intersection of sustainability, communication, and exploration—whether that's a soil sensor in a field or a payload on the Moon. I also believe that engineering doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Through my work with Food Not Bombs, I’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the role of mutual aid, advocacy, and accessibility in shaping more equitable systems—technical and otherwise. I’m always looking to learn, contribute, and grow—especially in areas involving systems integration, space tech, environmental sensing, and open-source innovation.
