As an immigrant from Ethiopia pursuing Electrical and Computer Engineering at USC, I bring a unique perspective that blends diverse cultural insights with cutting-edge technical expertise. My journey from Ethiopia to the competitive landscape of American higher education has instilled in me a deep appreciation for diverse viewpoints and a tenacious work ethic. My technical prowess, demonstrated through projects like developing a Raspberry Pi-based security system and a Flask-based job aggregation platform, is complemented by my leadership experience as Director of Outreach for and Secretary of the National Society of Black Engineers. This combination allows me to bridge the gap between complex technical concepts and real-world applications, making me adept at fostering innovation within diverse teams. My commitment to community upliftment, evidenced by securing substantial funding for NSBE and participating in projects to assist rural cancer patients, showcases my ability to leverage technology for social good. This drive, coupled with my experience in prestigious programs with Apple, Nacme, and Management Leadership for Tomorrow equips me with a unique blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and social consciousness.
