About Noah Ukrainetz

My dream is to excel as a Teacher after my education at Brock University is complete. From being an honour student in high school to furthering my education at Brock University in the Psychology Co-op program, I have a passion for helping others succeed, such as the children I volunteer with at Holy Name Catholic Elementary School. I find that being a part of a dedicated community is a part of what makes a strong-minded individual. For myself, I have been a part of the powerlifting community for more than five years. I have travelled the world, competing for Team Canada in Finland and Texas. I take my accomplishments very seriously as I was able to do what I love while having fun at the same time. Powerlifting has given me a new perspective on life. I have become a leader through it and have even had the opportunity to help others learn and grow from the sport. Powerlifting has taught me skills such as proper time management, being able to work under pressure or in stressful situations, and has overall made me much more responsible since I began my journey both at work and out in the world. I find that my experience in a sport that I hold close to my heart is essential for who I am today. I pride my sense of respect that I have learned over the years and vow to commit myself fully to any task awarded to me. I have learned proper discipline and real hard work. I tend to never give up on something until I know I have completed it to my fullest ability. In my time, I volunteer at Holy Name Catholic Elementary School. I spend one day a week with two special needs students. I help them with their schoolwork and also help them develop proper social skills when they go to high school. I hope my values transfer to the children I help. I find volunteering my time to these children is going beyond my sport. I find that if you have a genuine connection, whatever it is you partake in, you should take those morals and values you learn, and transfer them to those who may need them to succeed.
