About Noah Whitacre

I am a person who wants to succeed and grow in the field of cybersecurity. Ever since I first learned of the establishment of the School of Cyber and Computer Sciences (SCCS) at Augusta Univerity (AU), I have been extremely passionate and looking forward to the continued growth and development of cybersecurity. While in college, I joined ROTC and set myself to join the ranks of future Army leadership, however, my reasoning for this takes its roots from my passion for cyber. The US Army has in recent years established an independent Cyber branch, one in which I have set my early career goals to join. While pursuing my undergraduate education, I have strived to set myself apart from my peers with the jobs I have worked, the positions I have held, and the training I have received. I have worked as a Student Assistant at AU's Network Security team, an IT Specialist for Convergent Outsourcing, and I just recently completed an internship with ARCYBER at Fort Gordon, in which I received top honors. Upon graduation, I will receive the NSA certified Advanced Cyber Defender Certificate. I am open to new experiences as I continue to learn more about the unique specialties that reside within the field of cybersecurity.
