About Noel Clement

I’m an experienced not-for-profit organisation leader with over 34 years work across a diverse range of social causes. I spent 20 years leading a broad range of areas at Australian Red Cross, working both domestically and globally on some of the biggest challenges our communities face – major disasters, entrenched disadvantage, climate change, conflict and forced migration. I’ve contributed to social impact through scaled program responses and advocacy for policy change right through to through local community development initiatives and community mobilisation. I’ve advised, influenced and advocated at local, state, national and global levels. I’ve had substantial experience in building effective relationships and collaborative partnerships across a broad range of issues and stakeholder groups – community, corporate, philanthropic and government. With a significant depth of knowledge and experience in the asylum seeker/ refugee and emergency management sectors, my experience also encompasses justice, aged care, First Nations, housing, youth services, emergency relief, family services, mental health and more. I enjoy working with existing and emerging leaders and organisations to strategise for impact, grow in their roles, maximise opportunities and deal with obstacles or setbacks. In leadership I value integrity, authenticity and drawing on vulnerabilities as inherent strengths.
