About Noel Pine

My consultancy interests lie in working with Charities, focusing on challenging poverty and discrimination, positively promoting social inclusion and community health and wellbeing. Practically my work is focused on two areas. Firstly, advice, guidance and support in the areas of Governance, Policy and Funding. Secondly, in helping develop and support projects that provide routes out of poverty or social exclusion, including Social Prescribing and Health and Wellbeing initiatives. I have extensive statutory services experience across diverse NHS & Adult Social Care settings in the areas of adult community mental health, generic Adult & Later Life roles and Hospital complex care pathways. Social Worker Qualification and Registration from 1992 to end December 2020. I have worked as an Accredited Best Interests Assessor (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards). I hold a Qualifying Law Degree (2004) & Legal Practice Certificate (2006). I have a longstanding personal commitment to equality, human rights and social justice. I also have nine years experience as a full time (elected) trade union representative in a medium sized local authority; responsibilities included leading negotiations on borough wide policies and representing trade union members with regard to large scale voluntary transfers of housing, leisure and care services. Individual advocacy work includes Grievance and Disciplinary representation, Individual and Group Tribunal case preparation and advocacy and supporting High Court actions on behalf of members. I am committed to anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practice within organisations and across communities based on education and empowerment.
