As a software developer with over 12 years of experience, I have honed my skills in developing software systems and tools, conducting end-to-end and unit testing, providing maintenance and support, managing client relationships, leading teams, and handling back-end and front-end development. My expertise spans across various industries, including telecommunications, freight forwarding & customs compliance, biometrics, and digital voucher distribution. Throughout my career, I have contributed to numerous projects that have made a significant impact on the organizations I have worked for. From building a shipment status manager during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic to designing and deploying a VOIP switchboard using the open-source Asterisk platform, my contributions have led to increased efficiency and productivity. I am proficient in multiple programming languages and technologies, including PHP, Javascript, SQL, Python, Laravel, AWS, Git, Docker, RabbitMQ, Linux, Vue, Angular, React, MariaDB, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, OOP best practices, DRY principles, and Design Patterns. Outside of work, I am an avid runner and have completed over 60 marathons, including 5 Comrades medals (a 56-mile race in South Africa). I am passionate about self-improvement, mental health, and physical health, and enjoy playing tennis to wind down.
