About Noel Zarate

i have been a professional sports broadcaster since 1994, a professional commercial VO talent since 1998, published writer since and a broadcasting trainer since 2001. I have had vast international sports broadcasting experience in over ten counties for various sporting events and have worked with the NBA, FIBA, FIVB and the ASEAN Basketball League. Locally, I service ESPN5, the PBA, the Philippine Super Liga (professional women's volleyball) as well as doing Continuity VO for Solar Sports. In previous endeavors, I served as Basketball Operations Director, Executive Producer for News, Broadcast Script Writer and even Musical Director, Orchestrator, Arranger and Percussion Teacher. In my work for the Philippine film "Higit Pa Sa Buhay Ko" won for Best Musical Score in the prestigious Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP-the local version of The Oscars) and was nominated again in 2008 for the musical score of the animated motion picture "Urduja". After retiring completely from music, I have devoted much of my energies to Sports Broadcasting and training those who wish to penetrate the industry. To date, I have helped develop dozens of broadcasters who now make a difference in the field. I now spearhead the NEWBIES Broadcasting Academy and hold basic Broadcasting Workshops regularly.
