About Noelle McWard

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Counseling Solutions, a group psychotherapy practice in Chicago dedicated to helping individuals and couples transform their lives through high-quality, compassionate care. With over 30 years of experience, I specialize in anxiety disorders and have made it my life’s work to help people understand the root causes of their anxiety—offering lasting solutions, not just temporary fixes. My own experience as a mother of a child with generalized anxiety and OCD informs my deep commitment to this work. I’ve developed the Anxiety Unpacked™ model, a practical, type-based framework that helps people identify and heal their unique experience of anxiety. I regularly share this work through my writing (including contributions to Psychology Today), professional training programs, speaking engagements to the general public and professional organizations, and my book, Anxiety Unpacked: Discover Your Type and Recover Your Peace. In addition to my clinical work, I lead the Counseling Solutions Training Institute, which offers continuing education for mental health professionals in Illinois, with a focus on showcasing expert voices and keeping high-quality education accessible and affordable. I also provide expert mental health testimony and psychological assessments for immigration cases, supporting attorneys and their clients with detailed evaluations that often help lead to life-changing outcomes.
