I worked for South African Airways as a customer service agent since June 2006. I started as a check in agent. My duties were to assist passengers on the day of travel and check them in. Explain to them what time is their flight boarding. Incase they have excess baggage I will advise them how much it will cost them to pay per KG or each piece. The year 2012 I became a ticketing agent. South African Airways took me to courses such as Amadeus Reservations, Amadeus Ticketing, Voyager and Basic international fares and ticketing.I worked as a ticketing agent at Cape town international airport from 2012 until 2016. My duties were to sell tickets to passengers and advice them what time is their flight, how much baggage they can take. If passengers have excess baggage how much it will cost them, what are the fare rules for the ticket they purchased and what is the change fee if the same fare is available. In 2016 I moved to the South African Airways Town office in Cape town. Doing the same duties as the airport. I worked from 2016 until 2020. In the year 2020 I was retrenched. During the 14 years I was working for South African Airways I also got to travel. The airline gave me rebate benefits which I really enjoyed. The countries I travelled to are Mozambique, Ghana, Mauritius, Hong Kong, China and the United States of America.
