About Nolan Chen

Growing up, I was that kid who was obsessed with adding more legos to his collection every year. Each time I would choose a lego set that had more pieces than the previous one because stubborn 8-year old me thought that no lego was too hard to build (assuming an instruction manual is included). Over the years, my obsession to construct legos naturally expanded into a genuine interest of being involved in the product development process, whether it was building on top of an existing product or reinventing the wheel myself. Through my past experiences, I’ve: Built product experiences and implemented feedback systems to track KPIs Facilitated GTM strategy for product launches to drive user adoption and engagement Conducted competitive intel and market / user research to inform product roadmap Worked alongside PMs, designers, and engineers to build and ship multiple features Developed PRDs, customer / user stories, product requirements, and documentation Led a startup accelerator to take two cohorts from MVP to Launch (check out this blog post I wrote for Okta - https://rb.gy/1ifqa) In my most recent role at Ushur, my main objective is to optimize the end-user experience for their flagship product, Invisible App, and drive adoption of it's no-code workflow platform, Ushur Studio. My contributions included: Conducting mobile and web usability tests on a native e-sign user experience Crafting an E-Sign PRD and epic with final product requirements and UX enhancements Researching user journey, personas, and competitive intel for 4 healthcare solutions Collaborating with engineering and design to identify bugs and simplify end-user flows In the future, I hope to be in an environment that pushes me to think outside the box and enables me to further pursue my passion to build vibrant product experiences. Outside of work, I love being active through sports like soccer and snowboarding, attending music festivals, playing poker with friends, and cooking new recipes I find on Youtube.
