About Nolan Eggen
I have been a firefighter with the City of Great Falls for the last 14 years. I am currently a captain of an engine company where I supervise the day to day operations and emergency response of an engine company. I also am a fire investigator, where I attempt to find the origin and cause of fires that occur on my shift. In addition to my job as a firefighter, I work as a lead instructor for the Montana State University-Fire Service Training School firefighter 1 and firefighter 2 certification academies. I have spent hundreds of hours instructing adults on entry level skills related to emergency response. I teach both in the classroom and hand-on field training. After many years working in public safety, I have decided that once retired, I would like to apply my skills as a teacher to a different audience. I am currently enrolled at Walden University and am working towards a B.S. in Elementary Education.
