About Nora Duffy

I am a driven and accomplished individual with a Bachelor’s of Science in Advertising from Appalachian State University, with a concentration in Strategic Advertising and a minor in Marketing. I have graduated a year early, gaining my degree in just 3 years, and have been recognized on the Dean’s List and Chancellor’s List throughout my college career. I also gained international experience through a summer study abroad program in Barcelona, focusing on PR and advertising for Spanish wineries. As for my professional experience, my role as Digital Marketing Manager at The Appalachian, where I oversaw all social media platforms which have a collective following of create promotional content, and manage creative campaigns has helped me grown in the fields of marketing, journalism, advertising, and design. Additionally, I interned as a Communications Specialist with Frontline to Farm, a nonprofit organization that serves to help farmer-veterans, developing strong communication strategies, writing press releases, and helping plan events for the nonprofit. Also, working two jobs in the restaurant industry have really made me more personable and communicative. Lastly, my leadership and organizational skills are demonstrated through my role as the Vice President of Human Resources for Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional marketing and sales fraternity. I also hold multiple certifications in Excel, Canva, content marketing, inbound marketing, and SEO, demonstrating my dedication to personal growth.
