About Nora Watson

Recently branched into a surgical research support technician role to fill a need in PracticePoint's research support team. I am excited for this new challenge, an opportunity to learn and grow into a complex and constantly-evolving field that actively works to improve people's lives. Prior to this, I have been an administrative professional with 10+ years experience in the academic and engineering-design arenas. I am also a certified Dog Groomer and self-educated pet handler and trainer with 8+ years experience working with animals. I have many creative skills and areas of experience, including: costume and garment design and construction, prop-design and construction, machine and hand sewing, embroidery, beading, wire work, metal smithing, painting both for construction and fine art, screen printing, print making, fiber arts and crochet, leather work and tooling, resin pouring, model and mold making, carpentry, basic electronics. I am passionate about my work and enjoy wearing many hats in the course of my duties. After serving as a teacher with the Peace Corps, creative problem-solving is a second nature to me. I place personal pride in completing my work well, thoroughly, and efficiently, and have been known to be the last person in the office. I communicate well and manage teams efficiently, but do my best work on my own. I like to work for and with people I believe in and trust towards goals that matter.
