A resourceful and influential Project Manager with 32 years of professional experience, including 15 years in mid-level management positions in the US Army. Articulate, results-driven professional with vast experience managing daily operations to stimulate future growth, accomplishing project/operational objectives, and supporting company vision. Keen leader adept in improving systems, processes/policies, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategies and practices. Efficient in forecasting requirements, analyzing variances, determining improvements, and initiating corrective actions. Retired US Army Officer skilled in planning/directing the work of diverse individuals/groups. Project Management: From 2006 to 2007, I directed the materiel acquisition process for the US Army's largest development program in history and led a staff of 30 military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Results: I managed and led the complex Future Combat Systems (FCS) project to ensure over 600 operational requirements were properly documented to meet the Army’s ongoing FCS acquisition process. Dozens of the capabilities eventually made it into the Army's overall acquisition process for fielding to Soldiers. Operations: From 2011 to 2014, I managed the development, documentation, and implementation of US Army Rapid Equipping Force capabilities, including an extensive portfolio of over 150 items. Results: During a three year period in Afghanistan, I rapidly and accurately assisted 4 Army Divisions and 12 Army Brigades to identify and fill over 100 of their unit capability gaps and operational needs, providing solutions that saved Soldier's lives in a combat environment.
