About Norma Moussally
Commitment, enthusiasm, curiosity, passion. If a person could be described with only four words, these would be mine. Armed with a diploma in Clinical Psychology from McGill University, I moved to Lebanon to try and further the field of mental health in the Middle East, and what better way than to educate people about mental health and break taboos whether in a clinical setting, in a classroom or on stage as you can see in my speech at TEDxLAU 2016. Today I have extensive experience as a Senior Counselor with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I am skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Social Services, Individual and Group Therapy, Clinical Research, and Program Evaluation. I seek to promote wellness and mental health by focusing on the strengths of individuals rather than their diagnosis. As such I follow a humanistic philosophy and a person-centered approach that benefits growth and actualization. I am a passionate teacher, educator and advocate for the science of psychology.
