Dr. Norman Gamboa is Music Director of the Sonoma County Philharmonic, Director of Orchestral Activities at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Music Director Laureate of the Aurora Symphony Orchestra. He is one of the most prominent Central American conductors. Dr. Gamboa has appeared numerous times with orchestras throughout Texas, Nevada, Kansas, Missouri, Wyoming, Colorado, California, Minnesota, and Louisiana. In the international stage, he has conducted highly acclaimed performances in major cities in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, Romania, and the Czech Republic. Previously, he served as Music Director of the Power River Symphony Orchestra and Aurora Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Conductor of the Waco Symphony Orchestra and Music Director of the Waco Youth Symphony as well as Director of Orchestras at Washburn University.
