Journeyman Millwright, Hello, my name is Norman Maher and I am a career oriented individual seeking employment as a journeyman plant mechanic, certified pipe welder or combination welder. I have had extensive training as a Millwright and industrial power plant mechanic where I was confined space qualified, lock out tag out qualified, constructed and replaced heat exchangers also assisted with overhaul of steam driven turbines, boiler feed pumps and various other equipment in plant. I left a company in June of 2015 to become a certified Structural and Pipe welder. I have attended Hobart Institute of Welding Technology from July 2015 and completed training April 29, 2016. I maintained and finished with perfect attendance. I have attended and successfully completed Welding Technology and Blueprint Reading courses. I have been certified to American Welding Society (A.W.S.) standards for all positions 3/8" and 1/2" plate Oxygen Acetylene welding. Up to 1" block, 2", 6" and 8" pipe in the S.M.A.W. process. I have completed Mig Spray 1" block guided bend, Mig pulse and spray 11 gauge Aluminum weld etch, short circuit 2G 3/8" plate guided bend, 2G and 5G 6" pipe guided bend welding tests. I have trained and completed G.T.A.W. also known as Tig welding 16 gauge carbon steel guided bend test, 11 gauge aluminum, stainless steel.045 thickness and Titanium.064 thickness with a successful X-ray test. I have also trained and successfully completed 2G and 5G 2" pipe guided bend and X-ray gas tungsten arc welding courses. My future plans are to settle down with a well organized, reputable company where I can use the knowledge and skill that I possess too progress in my career field.
