As General Manager for Cascades Containerboard Packaging – Niagara Falls, my actual duties are: 1. Direct and coordinate the activities of the Niagara Falls facility to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations, with the ultimate goal of maximizing profits in a safety culture. Plan and develop organizational policies and goals and ensure that these are met by engage subordinate administrative and management personnel; 3. Coordinate activities between the respective departments such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance and research and development to affect operational efficiency and economy; 4. Analyze budget requests to identify areas in which reductions could be made and allocate resources appropriately; and, 5. Confer regularly with administrative personnel and review activity, operating and sales reports to determine if changes in managerial or operational policies and procedures are required. I also ensures the overall management of the production facility, including the direction of its expansion projects in the States, and strategic direction. Furthermore, my role includes the implementation of new technologies, the organization of manufacturing processes for new products and the expansion into new markets. Also I'm tasked with implementing new structures and management policies that are considered essential to the group’s operations and development.
