About Nuno Silva

My academic background is five year degree in Geophysical Sciences (Meteorology, Oceanography and Geophysis) by Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa - FCUL. I performed an internship at the Department of Climate Monitoring and Climate Change in Instituto de Meteorologia. I have a Master degree in Energy and Environment Engineering, also by FCUL. There were developed subjects such as energy consumption, energy efficiency, renewable and conventional energy, including wind energy, ocean energy, solar energy and geothermal energy and power distribution networks. The thesis, developed in partnership with Laboratório Nacional de Energia e Geologia – LNEG, is entitled "Impact of weather conditions on the windows of opportunity for operation of offshore wind farms in Portugal”. Between May 2007 and December 2011 I worked as a researcher in LNEG. My main activities and responsibilities were: consultancy for companies in the energy business, management of energy projects (national and international), onshore/offshore wind resource assessment, energy production estimate, economic/financial analysis, data analysis, environmental impact studies, data collection from anemometric stations and participation in several projects in the development of renewable energy sources. From 2012 to 2018 I worked as technical consultant in Euro-Funding Advisory Group. The main activities were: project management; consulting and technical advice in public incentive programs (such as FP7, EUREKA, QREN, PT2020, H2020.) in energy, innovation and R&D areas; market studies; writing technical reports. Since September/2018 I've been working in Inova+, as Senior Project Manager. My main activities are: manage projects, develop processes and methodologies to ensure projects successes; monitor projects budgets and profitability; provide projects reports; analysis of opportunities and project management under the H2020.
