About Nursultan Rand

I'm a constant learner who is excited to explore more about people and improve overall user experiences while working in a collaborative environment. I utilize empathy as a vital design tool by combining various research methodologies to ensure user needs are at the core of the design and development process. Having a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design in Turkey and Italy provided me with a sense of design thinking ability. Multiple studies and work environments helped me understand the importance of cultural differences by thinking from a global perspective. I worked as a managing partner for two years at Hamm Design furniture company which provided me to gain a proactive approach, confidence about taking the initiative, creative thinking, fulfilling user needs and business needs. I have always been interested in user experience around the products or space that I designed. After gaining adequate experience for several years, I have decided to study Interaction Design master's program at the Estonian Academy of Arts to understand these matters. Overall, I am a multi-disciplinary designer who creates and applies human-centred and design-driven understanding to answer today's and tomorrow's challenges. I enjoy transforming complex obstacles into meaningful services and products with successful business outcomes.
