About Nurul Driver

I'm fueled by working in the field of sustainable progress and development, education, knowledge building, space exploration, and cultural cohesion. I am curious and challenge myself using philosophical reasoning to truly understand the world we live in and to create change that benefits humanity. I am currently a Product Management Senior Specialist in Telstra's IoT group, building our IoT devices management capability. Previously, I worked on productizing a Smart Water Metering IoT device. We developed an end-to-end solution for Water Utility authorities to digitally manage their water network, thus allowing them to derive meaningful insights to reduce leaks and make data-driven decisions. I was an Account Manager and a Technical Sales Consultant at Telstra Wholesale which enabled me to get to the heart of our customers and understand their true concerns I've had experience being the chief of operations at an NGO, Care African World Aid (CAWA), whose purpose was to meet the needs of flood victims in South Sudan I completed a Bachelor of Sustainable Systems Engineering with a major in transport and logistics. This exposed me to a range of engineering disciplines and sustainability courses that focused on Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking, and Life Cycle Analysis. I undertook a research project regarding the optimization of the supply chain of goods for refugees in transition on behalf of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). In 2013/14, I was part of RMIT’s Formula SAE-Electric team where we designed and built the competition's first competition-ready electric vehicle. In 2014, I was involved in the WorldSkills Water Innovation Challenge, where I managed a team of engineering students and trade apprentices to design and build a sustainable sanitation system for rural communities in Bangladesh and Nepal. I participated in the Shell Ideas360 competition that outlined a new method to generate power for apartment buildings. In 2016, I participated in the Engineers Without Borders Design (EWB) Summit, where I applied human-centred Design to identify and work on opportunities in a rural village in the Kratie province of Cambodia.
