Nutan is currently the SVP - Jio Platforms Limited overseeing the engineering activities at JioMeet, JioEvents and JioTranslate. Prior to this, he was the CEO of KeyPoint Technologies and responsible for the company’s business and technological strategy. Nutan’s leadership, in-depth knowledge and experience in Computational Linguistics, AI, Mobile and Cloud Technologies have led to the expansion of state of the art products including Xploree AI Keyboard, CerinaStudio and Kore.ai Nutan spent the last few years at KeyPoint Technologies building language models that enable machines to understand and respond smarter. Nutan was the chief contributor towards development of a real-time intent analyzer algorithm using neural network that could run on an edge/mobile device. Aside, Nutan had key contributions in areas including word/phrase predictions, error corrections, search and recommendation algorithms, machine comprehension, etc using the latest advances in language technology. Nutan worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas and published papers on Animation Databases, including a book chapter in “Handbook of Video Databases”. He was the chief contributor in a project which secured grant from National Science Foundation (NSF) and helped setup the MultiMedia Lab at University of Texas at Dallas
