About Nyadia Thorpe

I have always been open to leadership roles that allow me to use my transferrable and also my natural skills to further support student achievement and teacher success. I am grateful to have had administrators believe in my vision and support me to gain the opportunity to practice and earn valuable experience. This has helped fuel my passion to continue developing my capacity for leadership. I believe there is a place for me in a great organization that sees my potential for great things, and wants creative thinkers in the room. I will bring motivation, inspiration, and strategy for achieving big goals. In the classroom, I am highly motivated to preparing students and mentoring teachers for performing and expressing themselves in meaningful and purposeful ways, to achieve results stepped in excellence. My objectives include using choral music to inspire performers to find their confidence, improve developmental and social skills among participants, and for performers to learn to effectively express their experiences in order to inspire others. For my with with educators, I share best practices and use a coaching approach that is conversational, leads with curiosity, and seeks to push up the teacher to find and unlock their unique leadership potential.
