As a Grants Management Specialist at the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs (OJP), I leverage my MA in Urban Education and Leadership and my expertise in youth justice and social impact to support the administration and oversight of federal grants that promote public safety, prevent and control crime, and ensure fair and impartial justice. I have over 10 years of non-profit experience in talent search, human resources, fiscal operations, contract development, and program implementation, as well as a passion for coaching and mentoring individuals of all levels. My well-roundedness in key business administration, marketing, public relations, public speaking, organizing, relationship building, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) enables me to maximize my performance and collaborate with leadership in building a team-based culture based on corporate values, engagement, and accountability. I champion organizational governance standards in the areas of ethics, internal culture, accountability, and performance. Through my efforts in youth advocacy, I serve as a global advocate for thousands of justice-impacted youths and have been recognized by the Nevada State Senate for my contributions to youth mentorship and community-based services. My mission is to facilitate positive youth development and justice reform by empowering, educating, and inspiring youths and their families.
