I’m Nyree and I’m a grant and tender writer, copywriter and all round consultant helping leaders and organisations get it together. Whatever "it" is. HOW CAN I HELP? Speechwriting - done with you, done for you and coaching. Grant and tender writing - from sourcing the grants through to drafting and chasing up SMEs. Copywriting - reports, websites, capability statements, policy and plain English comms from strategy to doing. WHY ME? I've got some special skills and perspectives that are unique to me:* I worked in politics for more than a decade including advising, campaigning and strategy. I can spot a political problem - and solution - a mile away.* I worked in parliament and understand the mechanics of how parliament runs. I understand the process from the Cabinet submission through to assent.* I worked in health and child protection working on policy, legislative change, project development and implementation, NGO partnerships, consultation and capacity building.* After working on all 3 sides of the political fence (politics, parliament and public service), I've got a thorough understanding of how decisions are made, how to make the case for change and who the movers and shakers are to get things done. I've got great contacts too.* I took those skills and turned them into my business where I've supported government, NGOs, other businesses and individuals to communicate better, secure funding and deliver on their promises. That is across industries including ones I have no idea about but get the joy of learning about as I go.* I don't just do, I teach. I've delivered workshops and presentations on a range of skills including speechwriting, writing case studies, writing grants, and writing more persuasive memos to deliver change.* I'm the speechwriting mentor for the Pathway to Politics for Women program in the Northern Territory (3 years running), Western Australia (2024) and part of the mentor team in Queensland and New South Wales programs (2024).* I've held a range of board and committee positions, including secretariat and scribing roles, so good governance and risk management are a key focus of my brain.
