About Obada Alia

I am a Vice President at the Networking & Security team of Global Technology Applied Research Center at JPMorganChase. I am currently working on Quantum Communications & Cryptography and Optical Engineering & Networking. I have a PhD in Optical Communication from the University of Bristol, where I also obtained my master's and bachelor's degrees in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering, respectively. I contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge quantum-safe technologies and optical engineering solutions that enhance the networking, security and efficiency of the bank's operations and services. I work with a diverse and talented team of researchers, engineers, and business leaders, applying my skills and knowledge. I am passionate about advancing the field of optical communication and applied quantum communication and exploring their applications and implications for the financial industry and beyond. I bring a unique perspective and experience to the team, having worked in industry as well as in academia as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol on multiple national and international projects.
