About Ofek Moyal

I am a 25-year-old Mechanical Engineer in the making with a strong background in aviation and robotics. I have served as an Aviation Electronics Technician in the Israeli Air Force, honing my technical skills and gaining valuable experience in aircraft maintenance. This experience laid the foundation for my love of flying and aeronautics, which I have continued to pursue through my involvement in RC planes and drones. With over 10 years of experience building and flying these aircraft, I have developed a deep understanding of their mechanics and capabilities. I have 6 years of experience in 3D printing, a valuable skill that has allowed me to bring my ideas to life and rapidly prototype new designs. This experience has also taught me how to work with CAD software and design for 3D printing, making me well-equipped to tackle complex projects. My experience with drones has led to a 1-year stint as a drone test pilot at Robotican, a company specializing in autonomous drone systems. During this time, I was responsible for testing and evaluating the performance of our drones, providing valuable feedback to the engineering team. This experience gave me a glimpse into the world of autonomous systems and the limitless potential they hold for the future. Presently, I am in my 4th year of a Mechanical Engineering degree at SCE - Shamoon College of Engineering, where I am broadening my knowledge of engineering principles and practices. This education, combined with my practical experience, has given me the tools I need to tackle complex problems and design innovative solutions. I am currently employed at Robotican as a Mechanical Engineer, where I am working on the development of autonomous drone systems. In this role, I am responsible for designing, building, and testing new components, as well as troubleshooting and maintaining existing systems. I am excited to continue my journey in the field of autonomous systems and play a role in shaping the future of aviation.
