A Vice-President of Investment and Asset Management since 2001, Ofer Drucker hold a key strategic role in the Azrieli Foundation, one of Canada’s largest foundations with overall $2.5 billion in assets under management. Ofer’s main responsibilities with the Azrieli Foundation are: • Investment Portfolio of Marketable Securities and Private Placement: Asset allocator of an approximately $700 million multi-asset portfolio, focused on long-term capital preservation and value creation by investing in well-diversified, balanced portfolios of various asset classes. In collaboration with the CEO, CFO, and the Investment Committee, set the investment portfolio strategy and investment policy for the foundation. Following the guidelines of the foundation’s Investment Committee, established criteria, managed the process and diligence related to the selection of investment manager, including the orientation & management of performance. Controlled concentration, liquidity, and correlation risk with rebalancing discipline. Monitored market conditions and asset allocation against investment portfolio goals and compliance to investment policies while recommending any required changes. • Commercial Real Estate: In collaboration with Canpro Investments Ltd.’s (the foundation’s captive real estate management company) team, oversee the operational and financial activities of the Office, Industrial & Retail Canadian and US commercial properties portfolio, including the Five-Star Hotel Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile with overall market value in excess of $400 million. With responsibilities to drive bottom-line profitability growth, increased asset value ensured positive cash flow, and met financial targets. The Hands-on experience with over $350 million in real estate acquisitions and dispositions transactions in Canada and the U.S, including leading the sourcing, evaluation, underwriting and legal operations. Worked with mortgage brokers, lenders & bankers on securing various financing. In 2021, Ofer joined the real estate committee of the Hewitt Group (Montreal), providing strategic guidance in regards to commercial real estate investments and development transactions.
