Background
About Ok Cha Soh
I served as the 2nd term, President of Washington Coalition for Comfort Women Issue, Inc.(WCCW) for 7 years from 2001 - 2008 and now as an advisor. WCCW was founded in 1992 to promote research and education pertaining to crimes against Comfort Women, which is the term used as euphemistically referring to WWII sexual slaves. I have conducted numerous seminars, workshops, and forums on U.S. campuses to increase public awareness on Comfort internationally. I testified at the U.S. Congressional Hearing in Feb. 2007, spearheading the campaign to pass the House Resolution #121, calling on the government of Japan to formally and unambiguously apologize for and acknowledge the tragedy that Comfort Women endured at the hands of the Japanese Imperial Army during WWII. HR #121 was passed unanimously by bi-partisan measures at the U.S. Congress in July, 2007. I am an educator, engaged in teaching as a professor at Washington Bible College/ Capital Bible Seminary for 1994 - 2013, now teaching at Columbia College, VA.
