About Okko Makkonen
I am a mathematics student at Aalto University, Finland, having received my master's degree in May 2022. I started my doctoral studies at Aalto University in August 2022 under the supervision of Professor Camilla Hollanti in the ANTA group. For 2023 I am supported by the Vilho, Yrjö and Kalle Väisälä Foundation of the Finnish Academy of Science and Letters. My research interests include applications of coding theory in information-theoretically secure distributed computing. This includes secret sharing, MDS codes and star product codes. For my master's thesis I worked on secure distributed matrix multiplication. Currently I am working on the mathematical foundations of secure distributed computation.
