Hi, I’m Olaf. I am a driven product design student and hands-on engineer with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a passion for building solutions that work in the real world. With experience spanning CAD design, CNC machining, and ISO-regulated medical device manufacturing, I bridge the gap between concept and execution. At Smithstown Light Engineering, I’ve led both as a CNC Technician and as a design intern, contributing to precision medical manufacturing while also creating innovative tooling and process improvements. I’ve worked across SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and Blender — but I’m just as comfortable troubleshooting on the production floor as I am refining a 3D model. Outside the lab, I’m a national-level judo competitor, a scholarship athlete, and a certified coach. Years on the mat have sharpened my focus, resilience, and teamwork — qualities I bring into every project I take on. I'm currently looking to connect with companies and professionals in product design, medical devices, and sports tech!
