About Olav Krigolson
I am a Professor and neuroscientist at the University of Victoria. As a neuroscientist I am interested in cognition in general but am particularly interested in learning and decision-making. Over the past 8 years, I have spent a lot of time examining the application of mobile neuroscience technology to solve real world problems. In my laboratory we use a variety of techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and computational modelling to study the neural processes and systems that underlie brain processes. I also have expertise in research statistics, data analysis, research design, and signal processing theory. In my spare time I have a growing passion for mountaineering and also enjoy hiking, ocean kayaking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and basketball.
