About Ole Wenzel

Vacuum measurement technology, entrepreneurship, and business development have been at the core of my professional journey for more than 30 years. It all began in 1992 when I founded the startup Wenzel Electronics (later Wenzel Instruments ApS), where we introduced the world’s first MEMS-based Pirani vacuum gauges in 1993. The company grew steadily and was ultimately acquired by MKS Instruments Inc. in 2002. This acquisition marked the beginning of a 14-year career at MKS Instruments, where I served as Managing Director of MKS Denmark ApS. During this time, I led the development and growth of the MKS 900 Series vacuum gauge product line — products that played a transformative role in the vacuum industry. During my career, I have been a co-inventor on several U.S. patents, including US9335231B2, US6672171B2, and US6909975B2, highlighting my contributions to innovation and technology development. In 2017, I began a new chapter by founding Sens4 A/S. What started with a temperature transmitter evolved into a global provider of innovative vacuum measurement solutions, serving leading customers in many industries around the world. At the heart of my work is a passion for innovation and a commitment to creating solutions that make a real difference — advancing technology, delivering value, and helping customers achieve their goals. I am a strong advocate for ethical business practices and fair competition. I believe that sustainable success is built on trust, honesty, transparency and respect for both intellectual property and the rules that govern fair market behavior. I also recognize the power of strong teams and collaborative environments to drive success and foster creativity. Sens4 has proven its resilience and relevance in the face of challenges such as Covid-19 pandemic, global supply chain disruptions, legal disputes, and market competition. The journey will continue.
