About Olena Markina

My name is Olena Markina, and I am an Assistant Store Manager at HomeGoods. I have been with the company for 4 years, starting my journey as a part-time associate. This experience has given me a deep understanding of retail operations, teamwork, and effective customer engagement. I hold a Master’s degree in Design and Business Administration from Ukraine, as well as an engineering background, which allows me to combine analytical thinking with creativity and strategic decision-making. My goal is not just to maintain high standards but to actively contribute to the company’s growth. I focus on increasing sales, enhancing customer service, and improving the credit card conversion rate because I believe that a satisfied customer is a loyal customer. Beyond my career, I find inspiration in creativity: I love photography, painting. These passions help me develop creative thinking and bring fresh ideas to my work. I believe that success in retail is a combination of analytics, leadership, and the ability to see beauty in details. That’s why I always strive to make our store not just a place to shop but a space where people want to return again and again.
