About Olesja Lebedeva

For many years I had being involved in the community activities mainly in the projects that are specifically designed for migrant minority in the local area of County Leitrim. Projects did include field trips around Ireland, fundraising and taking part in local community activities and events. I had also provided English lessons on one to one basis to members of Kurdish community as a part of a Peace project. I have proven my ability to work as a part of the team, and also developed interpersonal skills and professional relationships with the service users, including individuals, families and community groups. From November 2014 until recent, I had being filling in a role of a Job Coach/Facilitator for STEP Enterprise who are a part of St. John of Gods Hospitaler Organisation. The focus of the organisation is to provide services for people with intellectual disabilities. My role is to train, support and guide trainees through the completion of their FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Care Assistant for the Older People and to job coach trainees to the role in the nursing home environment. This project also works in conjunction with TUS programme participants linked to the course through South Side Partnership. The goal of the project is to negotiate and secure employment positions for the trainees with the nursing home on the completion of the course. At present I am filling in the role of the Social Care Worker at Nua Healthcare organisation. The focus of my role is to provide support services to people with disabilities and to improve their daily lives.
