About Olga Ovenden

I have nearly fifteen years of experience in the art world, beginning my career as artist, then curator and gallerist before transitioning to advisory sector. I have a wide network of contacts in the international art industry and a thorough understanding of its evolving markets. I hold two undergraduate and one Masters degrees from Russian and UK universities. Over the past eight years, working as an independent art adviser, I created the contemporary art segment adding to an existing collection for a major UK collector and arts patron. The extent of my input to their collection is 140 artworks by 73 established and emerging artists of international renown. The investment (totalling to seven figure sum) can be recovered fully with the sale of just under 10 works from the collection due to the significant increase in value. My professional knowledge is broad - over the past eighteen months I have worked on a collection of contemporary Russian art dating to Perestroika era for a US/UK based collector. Concurrently, I run educational program of tours and courses for art enthusiasts and collectors. The topics range from contemporary art and its market to specific artists and art historical movements.
