About Olga Shapenko

Software developer with twenty years experience and deep expertise in information security. Core skills.NET server-side development, cryptographic API and clean software design. Being interested in applied cryptography in my student years, I joined the newly opened class of Information Security in the college of Computer Science at Moscow State University. Not long after graduation, I got to build a web product with newly created cryptographic tokens - ruToken by a Russian company 'Aktiv'(Active Co). On my next workplace, I provided my knowledge and skills in applied cryptography for developing VipNet - a corporate protected network product at another Russian company named InfoTecs. I keep a special interest for information security while having moved on to work in a field of electronic workflow systems. Managing low-level cryptographic key containers, and also creating a licensing subsystem with a digitally signed license file were my most recent cases on that, both at a Russian company named LANIT, which is a major system integrator group. As about my hobbies. Being a member of an international choral group since spring 2022, I've worked together with people coming from all the parts of the world and vastly different cultures. To me, this is an enriching experience of how very different people can add equally valueable input and perspective, while being passionate about what they do and inspiring each other, providing quality results. With my work, I act as a responsible and result-oriented problem solver. Being a strong analyst, I make sure to go meticulously into any neccesary detail. My colleagues describe me as a reliable and persistent teammate.
