About Oliver Bell

I am a motivated, interested individual who is able to adapt to new situations and embrace new challenges, while performing to a high standard both as an individual and as part of a team. I have gained various skills from such as experience in organisation through project management, communication skills (interdepartmentally and outside of the company), working in high pressure environments to meet deadlines. Being in an industrial setting has also given me proficiency working with computers and Microsoft Office. Working in an academic lab at university has given me knowledge and experience of lab techniques such as Polymerase Chain Reaction and bacterial colony cultivation, while also maintaining a clean lab. At Bangor University, I was voted in as Course Representative of the first year Biology degree, this shows my capabilities for organisation and for leadership within groups. My experience on the committee for the Bangor university lacrosse team also shows my ability to work in a team and my organisational skills, as I was also awarded sporting colours for my contribution to the team. I have a passion for music and played in a band both casually and at various functions and competitions in aid of charity. I also formed new societies at Bangor University such as the comic book society where I enjoyed reading and discussing in a social setting. I enjoy sports both for keeping fit, such as going to the gym and weightlifting, and for recreation, such as skiing and lacrosse.
