About Oliver Bulmer

Proud graduate of Motorsport Engineering at Coventry University. Currently work for Prodrive, with the main responsibility of designing and drawing electrical harnesses that accommodate for high performance race vehicles, including but not limited to: GT, Dakar, Subaru P25. Liaising with the harness technicians, engineers and all departments involved to produce the most refined and optimal product for customers. Previously worked as an engine data engineer in CTCC, TCR and Macau GP for Gusto Technik in China. Throughout my tenure I worked in the wiring department building motorsport grade looms to spec 55, optimising engine maps for peak performance and providing on site data feedback at events. Key skills and experience include- Ability to create bespoke wiring harnesses fit to specification. This involves creating wiring schematics, complete pin to pin connector diagrams, deciding on best routing and grouping to avoid areas of risk and creating the BoM and SoP- Comprehensive experience in building data analysis workbooks and actively monitoring engine and dynamic parameters throughout a race weekend. Creating end of session reports and addressing possible issues under limited time conditions. Data analysis software proficiencies include; WinDarab, Pi Toolbox, MoTec i2- Competence in the use of calibration software such as; CalTool, Motec Manager and Racecon- Mechanical understanding of motor vehicles and ability to build/strip.
