Background

About Oliver Derksen

I lead the Office Advisory team at iO Partners in Romania, the preferred partner of JLL in CEE. With over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate, I specialize in advising occupiers on complex office strategies, from market entry and relocation to lease renegotiation and portfolio optimization. My focus is on delivering clear, data-driven advice that allows clients to make confident decisions in an increasingly dynamic market environment. This includes aligning real estate strategy with business objectives, optimizing cost structures, and identifying opportunities across Bucharest and the wider CEE region. Alongside client work, I am responsible for building and leading a high-performing advisory team, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, accountability, and long-term client relationships. I am particularly passionate about developing new business opportunities and helping organizations navigate change, whether driven by growth, restructuring, or evolving workplace strategies.
