About Oliver Markmann

I am a Partner within GT’s German Private Equity/M&A team, where I focus on representing a diverse range of private equity and growth equity clients in various private M&A transactions. My work spans buyouts, minority investments, co-investments, equity rollovers, and joint venture structuring, primarily concentrating on the technology, business services, and healthcare & life sciences sectors. Besides my professional commitments, I value the opportunity to share my insights and knowledge through regular contributions to publications and webinars in these fields. In addition to transactional matters, I provide assistance on general corporate law matters and corporate restructurings. I earned recognition for my contributions within the industry and was honored as a Next Generation Partner in The Legal 500’s 2023 through 2025 editions for M&A and Corporate, alongside acknowledgment as a Key Lawyer for Private Equity. Notably, in 2022, I was among just two lawyers in Germany to be recognized as a "Rising Star" for M&A by Legal 500.
