About Oliver Sloper

A CFA Charterholder and senior fixed income portfolio manager with 12 years of experience at Rogge and Allianz Global Investors. Covering global credit instruments with a focus on investment grade, I source alpha using a repeatable investment process selecting stocks by utilising quantitative tools and fundamental credit analysis combined with robust portfolio construction and risk management. With a track record of generating outperformance, my knowledge of quantitive techniques, coding and fundamental analysis has enabled me to develop decision support tools that made a significant contribution to this alpha. My investment process, making decisions based on sector, security and relative value, is scalable and repeatable. Portfolio management is inherently stimulating and I am driven by a resolute focus on generating the appropriate return for risk for clients across a variety of mandates, including enhanced passive, smart beta, active and concentrated portfolios. These include strategies with a variety of sustainability objectives. Additionally, with a strong understanding of investment and trade processes, I have identified opportunities for new information capture, and improvements in operational inefficiency, which has both empowered and freed up time for managers to focus on credit assessment and performance generation. I enjoy client interactions and the challenge of growing and retaining AUM, and have active involvement in client pitches, presentations and RFPs.
