About Oliver Weber

I am member of the Alternative Investment team at PwC Luxembourg with a focus in Real Estate. During all my career I was enthusiastic working with international clients, dedicated to the asset management sector, loving Luxembourg as a place to work and live and passionate about taxes. After some time with the German tax administration, I joined the PwC Luxembourg Tax team in From my very early days I was focusing on clients from the financial sector. I have been a founding member of our fund reporting practice, which I led for 12 years. This includes helping clients to cope with the constantly evolving reporting requirements and changing/emerging withholding tax rules around the world. For more than 10 years I am now also assisting large globally operation real estate funds and developers in in structuring and funding investment schemes, coping with tax (compliance) implications due diligence processes and various operational matters. I am acting as Relationship Partner for a several global clients from the AWM and real estate sector. Longstanding relationships matter a lot to me: I have supported all of them in various functions or areas for more than 15 years. Some of the projects I have led over the past years: • Acting as the Relationship Partner (the “go to point”) for several global asset managers • Assessment and implementation of the global tax functions for Asset Managers • Investor tax reporting (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, UK and others) • Withholding tax matters for investment funds • Financial Transaction Taxes • Asset management and real estate product structuring • Luxembourg corporate tax I am contributing to a series thought leadership pieces on the Asset and Wealth Management industry, including PwC’s “Asset Management 2020” series, which was groundbreaking in predicting future trends and implications.
