About Oliver Worth

As an outgoing individual, I had always believed that my path lay in the realm of education and communication. However little did I know I would discover a surprising love for working with data. It was an unexpected twist that ignited an insatiable curiosity within me. Several things have led me to this point: • Growing up with a father who has been deeply involved in computer science for over 20 years and recently embarked on a PhD has been a major influence in my life. Although it was too late to major in computer science at Brown University, my passion for technology and data led me to explore other alternatives. This prompted me to enroll in the Triple Ten Data Science boot camp, aligning with my existing expertise in History and Economics. • Balancing my responsibilities as a student athlete at Brown University studying history and Economics with my data science training at the TripleTen boot camp has been both challenging and enriching. This dual endeavor has not only tested my perseverance and ability to manage my time but also strengthened my desire to transition into a career as a Data Scientist. • The TripleTen program has been an intensive journey into Python, SQL, Data Visualization and Machine Learning. Working on many projects, I have tackled real world business challenges, leveraging data to drive significant improvement. Now equipped with proficient skills in big data analysis and visualization, I am eager to apply my expertise within the financial industry, with a focus on adding value and driving growth. Apart from my professional pursuits, I play tennis at Brown University. Currently I'm coming back from a double hip surgery and am excited for this upcoming season as a Senior. I would also be interested in getting a masters in Data Science somewhere after school and play a fifth year since I took off this entire season because of my injuries.
